This is the blog portfolio of Alix Bryan, multimedia journalist. I am a graduate student at Virginia Commonwealth University, class of 2010. All content has been produced through assignments in our multimedia journalism program. This is a comprehensive mass communication program that introduces and develops new media skills.
This degree will prepare me for the several positions which interest me: investigative reporter, TV reporter, college professor, non profit communications specialist/online development, social media manager.
Currently, I specialize in helping clients target, build and maintain their audience by using both traditional and new media.
I am able to use many platforms to report a story. The experience that most shaped my journalistic style was a 22,000 mile scooter trip through the backroads of America. I learned that someone, anywhere you go, has a story to tell. I became comfortable talking with complete strangers, about a variety of topics, some very personal.
In addition to print, I am very experienced with film, photography, and audio as reporting tools. I can easily identify which method of reporting will work best for a story.
And seriously, for as much telecommuting as I do–my true passion is working and collaborating with people.

I didn’t realize your grad studies were in Journalism–that’s my undergrad degree! Good luck, I’m sure you are/will be fabbaluss.
